August 20th, 2008 at 01:35:51 no its not, the m16 MK2 was an "upgrade" to the old old, purely due to the fact that the older m16 couldn't have a grenade launcher attacted to it. but its just the same gun in all respects. :) xxx
August 20th, 2008 at 01:58:50 its actually a Diemaco c7 with iron sights.
August 20th, 2008 at 02:21:49 hahaha that is something ive been wondering for ages, guess it was just the heat of the moment type of thing.
August 20th, 2008 at 02:44:48 why at 330 did they LAW the empty duece and a half when the obvious threat came from the BTR armored vehicle firing machine guns at them?

August 20th, 2008 at 03:53:45 I kind of want them to, but it would somewhat ruin the magic of this one know what I mean?
August 20th, 2008 at 04:16:44 I think they should remake Bravo Two Zero Any1 agree?
August 20th, 2008 at 04:39:43 True that, double true.
August 20th, 2008 at 05:02:42 Having half your section carrying LAWs doesn't hurt either.
August 20th, 2008 at 05:25:41 I know it's 'standard' battle tactics, and is a shit hot version of 'attack is thebest form of defence', but can you imagine having a full anti-aircraft regiment beside ya, playing duck shoot against 8 enemy.... & the psychotic bastards... start running AT YOU ALL GUNS BLAZING!? That is the dog's bollox!! lmfao. "Ermmm... nah... stop.... you're meant to be dying here!! Turn back and run ya mental fuckers!" British Special Services, incl, the para's & R Marines, are THE SHIT! God bless boys!!

August 20th, 2008 at 09:15:31 Yeah, the first "real B20" actually was as much crap as the second, I've heard Coburns is widely acccepted as the best version of events.
August 20th, 2008 at 09:38:30 Yeah, I want to get hold of a copy of mike coburns book, Ive read bravo two zero and the real bravo two zero but coburns book is said to be the most accurate.
August 20th, 2008 at 10:01:29 Thats fair mate, you do have a far more qualified opinion (can never be sure as you do get an awful lot of chairborne piefinders perusing the youtube comments), I was always told that attacking an ambush was a far better alternative to doing a runner, from both current and ex-forces lads. We were only taught basic section-level drills, we didnt go in-depth into the intracacies of it. However, the whole "Did B20 actually take place as described by McNabb?" thing may make this example nul-and-void
August 20th, 2008 at 10:24:28 Until you break contact with the enemy at which point you change direction. This is called binding using the "buddy buddy" system. Also, when you suspect the enemy Have spotted and are moving on you, you will stand to as you see in this video, to get your shit together. You will then face the enemy and make an assesment of the situation. Ie if its a scout unit with a few men it may be safer to face them, if its more of a threat you withdraw.
August 20th, 2008 at 10:47:27 Take it from me, a trained infanteer that a withdrawal is the best option. About firing from the back of the head thing, What you do is this, Two men in your section will turn and retreat together. Whilst this is going on the other soldiers put down supressing fire. The two men who were running then stop, turn and cover the other two men who were previously covering them, who will then turn and retreat. this is repeated....
